A Holiday Message from our Director

Although 2024 has not been a record year for raptor admissions, food expenses have gone way up - over $50,000 already; this is not counting donations of fish and rabbits for eagles.

We have an awesome crew of volunteers across the state who are dedicated to returning these amazing raptors back to the wild. But your support and commitment are also vital to our success. Please continue to help us recover raptors and educate the public about their value.

Our Mission

To provide care and support for injured and orphaned raptors in preparation for release.

To assist in the management of raptor populations and raptor research.

To enlist public support for raptor conservation through educational programs.

About RCA

We are a 501c3 non-profit that is a blend of 2 organizations; the old Raptor Recovery Nebraska, and Nature's Educators, an education organization in Colorado. After a 7-year stint under a local nature center, we decided to go a different direction and returned to our independent status.

Rehab

With more than 45 years of experience under Raptor Recovery Nebraska, over 14,000 raptors have been admitted to our facilities. RNN has a reputation as one of the top 10 raptor rehabilitation organizations in the nation.

Education

Although RCA's primary mission is rehabilitation, we maintain several permanent residents for educational programs. All of our program presenters are volunteers, so scheduling a program is limited to their availability.
